Paul O’Linn and Crispin Russell of ArcAqua selected at California ISP 2016

endevor image entrepreneursWith a global vision to eliminate all food waste by utilising ozone technology, ArcAqua is at the cutting edge of food security, and is the newest Endeavor company lead by Paul O’Linn and Crispin Russell selected at the 68th International Selection Panel (ISP) held in California, United States on 7 - 9 December 2016.

ArcAqua has developed ground-breaking technology that harnesses naturally-occurring ozone and distributes it using a fine mist of water to sanitise produce in a highly effective and environmentally friendly way. The company’s solution kills up to 99.99% of bacteria, saves water, and reduces overall waste. The benefits of using the ArcAqua system include shelf life extension and Maximum Residual Level (MRL) compliance. It is an environmentally responsible option reducing microbial risk and chemical usage.

Its first sales came in late 2015 to a citrus pack house in the Cape Town area, but its big breakthrough came in 2016, when the Citrus Research Institute (CRI), the research arm of South Africa’s Citrus Growers Association, endorsed ArcAqua after a one-year evaluation at their laboratories. After a country-wide roadshow with CRI, larger players like Goede Hoop signed on, and ArcAqua was able to capture nearly a quarter of the South African market in only a year.

ArcAqua aims to meet the growing global demand for green tech solutions by delivering an effective, affordable and chemical-free sanitisation alternative; and so deliver on a greener future.

In total, Endeavor selected 37 high-impact entrepreneurs representing 20 companies and 13 countries at its 68th International Selection Panel (ISP) held December 7-9 in Palo Alto, California. In total, Endeavor now supports 1,403 entrepreneurs leading 875 companies in 25 growth markets around the world. The event was Endeavor’s final ISP for 2016.

Paul and Crispin thoroughly enjoyed the ISP and Paul had this to say about it; "... an energy filled, interactive, driven, cooperative and fruitful Endeavor experience. Truly enjoyed with significant benefit to the company..."

The ISP is the last step in a meticulous selection process, where business leaders from Endeavor’s global network interview, deliberate and select Endeavor entrepreneurs by unanimous vote.

Congratulations to Paul O’Linn and Crispin Russell. Endeavor South Africa is proud to welcome you to our network of innovative companies making a real impact in the country.

The next ISP takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 20 - 22 February 2017.
